PWH Scholars

Education is the cornerstone of a strong nation. The PWH Educational Foundation was created out of the belief that Catholic education provides added value to our students’ formation.

The mission of the PWH Scholars Program is to enable deserving students the opportunity to receive a Catholic education when it is financially impossible without substantial help. We hope to do this through a partnership with the student, family, school leadership, counselor, and the Augustine Educational Foundation, acting as administrator of grant funds.

Special consideration is made to those students that come from public middle schools that want to have more academic success, but often don’t have the tools to succeed in achieving that goal. It is our hope to provide an opportunity for a faith-based education, offer a supportive and collaborative effort to help the student reach their personal best.

The Augustine Educational Foundation is a proud to work in partnership with the PWH Educational Foundation to provide scholarships for our PWH Scholars at Sacred Hearts Academy.

What initially started with two PWH Scholars has grown to include approximately 20 PWH Scholars.

The PWH Educational Foundation grant generously provides an on-site counselor and academic coach to support the PWH Scholar so they can achieve their personal best.

Recipients are awarded full-tuition scholarships starting in ninth grade and are renewable each year until graduation. PWH Scholars are expected to take part in several community service events, agree to home / family visits by the counselor, and be part of a very special community of students that have used this opportunity to not only reach their goals, but to someday give back.

Changing lives one student at a time is the goal of the Augustine Educational Foundation and PWH Educational Foundation partnership.
